What to Expect in Therapy

Let's Take the Next Step...

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and neither is my work. I take a client-centered approach, honoring you as the expert of your own life. Together, we will find a path forward that feels right for you.

I bring a calm, warm, and often humorous style to therapy because healing doesn't have to be heavy all the time. While holding space for your emotions and experiences, I also offer practical, sustainable skills to help you navigate daily life with more clarity, confidence, and ease.

My therapeutic style draws from:

  • Mindful & Somatic Awareness – breathing techniques and body-based awareness to stay present and connected

  • Parts Work – exploring the different aspects of yourself and how they interact, so you can better understand your patterns, strengths, and needs

  • Acceptance – creating space for all that you feel and are with compassion and curiosity

  • Creative Exploration – using humor, imagination, and flexibility to support healing and growth

In therapy, we'll follow what feels most meaningful to you. This may include:

  • What matters most to you and how you see yourself

  • Finding ease in being authentic and unmasking

  • Healing from past trauma and building resilience

  • Unlearning internalized ableism and navigating oppressive systems

  • Being present through mindfulness and body awareness

  • Understanding your sensory needs and calming overwhelm

  • Creating supportive routines and structures

  • Strengthening attention and focus

  • Building coping tools for balance and self-regulation

Therapy with me is a space to explore with curiosity, not judgment, where all parts of you are welcome because...

you belong,  just as you are.

The Therapy Process

We will schedule a free
30-minute phone call to share more about my approach to therapy. Then, we will collaboratively decide if working together is the right fit for us.

Initial Few Sessions

During your first sessions, I’ll get to know you by asking about your goals for therapy, overall health, background, relationships, and what feels most important in your life. By the second or third session, we’ll work together to identify realistic, meaningful goals to focus on in therapy. These goals will guide our work and we’ll revisit them often to make sure therapy continues to support you.

02

Getting Started Paperwork

Before your first session, I will email you intake paperwork, which includes policies, assessments, getting-to-know-you questionnaires, and more. All paperwork must be completed at least 24 hours* before your first session.

*If intake paperwork is incomplete 24 hours before your first session, your initial session will be rescheduled.

Your Healing
Journey

Everyone’s therapy journey looks a little different. From the very beginning, we’ll talk about what feels most supportive for you and shape the process together. Along the way, I welcome your feedback so we can adjust and make sure therapy continues to meet your needs.
